First Time Sitting!

Well, almost to the day, it's taken 18 months, but Emma and Taylor sat by themselves today during physical therapy. They were so happy, and so were we! They adjust their legs as they are comfortable but mostly do a "V" sit with their legs and cross over each others to make a base. We put pillows around them so they could get resistance off their arms and hold themselves up. And as always, they got rewarded with their snacks for working so hard. Here are a few pictures:

YAY for Taylor and Emma! Pretty soon you will be strong enough to begin walking - then mom won't know what to do with the two of you.

It's wonderful to hear the good news about their development. Your blog is certainly an eye-opener to the real pace of the life of conjoined twins.

I am far more used to the quick shots on the discovery channel which span months and years in the course of one or two commercial breaks. We meet the twins, they undergo tests and then WHAM! the operation.

I think that your work helps to show that there are definitely things going on between the scenes.

I wish your family all the best through the all the rest of your behind the scenes moments. It's a great thing to see how proud of themselves they are. I'm sure they'll have lots more to be proud of in the coming years.
