Many have asked, "What can we do?" Prayers certainly have and will help us through this journey. Also, if any may be interested, there is a link on this blog (right side) to make donations for the girls to help with these final arrangements and medical expenses. (It references Wells Fargo but that had been set up in the Phoenix area and may not be accessible.) These funds had been established to help with expenses of the girls' care - we certainly had not anticipated that the need might change - for final services.

September 20, 2006 - August 10, 2010

Emma & Taylor Bailey have returned to our Father in Heaven yesterday, August 10th, 2010. They passed after complications encountered during surgery. The Bailey family has always appreciated the thoughts and prayers offered on behalf of their beautiful twin girls and we ask that they may continue for their family through these challenging times.

We have all been blessed to know Emma and Taylor. While their years were short on earth, their impact will last generations. We are humbled and honored to have felt the tender mercies of our Lord through the lives of these precious children. We invite you to reflect upon Elder Bednar's quote below and hope that it may provide some measure of comfort to you as it does for the Bailey family.

"We should not underestimate or overlook the power of the Lord’s tender mercies. The simpleness, the sweetness, and the constancy of the tender mercies of the Lord will do much to fortify and protect us in the troubled times in which we do now and will yet live. When words cannot provide the solace we need or express the joy we feel, when it is simply futile to attempt to explain that which is unexplainable, when logic and reason cannot yield adequate understanding about the injustices and inequities of life, when mortal experience and evaluation are insufficient to produce a desired outcome, and when it seems that perhaps we are so totally alone, truly we are blessed by the tender mercies of the Lord and made mighty even unto the power of deliverance (see 1 Ne. 1:20)."
